Support for NVTGI Clients

Who to contact for what, and the few checks worth running before you call anyone.

My business phone system or internet is down — who do I call?

Once your service is installed, contact the carrier directly for day-to-day faults — they operate the network, most carriers run 24-hour support desks, and their desk is the fastest route to a technician. Contact New Vision Technology Group (NVTGI) at +1-732-289-6268, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Eastern, when a ticket is not moving and needs escalating, or when you want to change or upgrade your service. Escalating through carrier partner channels is something an agent can do that an individual customer cannot, and it is included in the relationship at no additional cost.

Who to contact, and when

Contact your carrier directly for: a service outage, a fault affecting one location, anything where a technician needs to look at the line. They operate the network, and their support desk is the fastest route to someone who can fix it.

Contact NVTGI on +1-732-289-6268 (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Eastern) for: a ticket that is not moving, an escalation, a service change or upgrade, a billing question, or a renewal coming up. Escalating through carrier partner channels is something we can do and you cannot, and it is included in the relationship at no cost.

This split is not us stepping back after the sale. It is that going straight to the people who operate the network fixes faults faster than routing them through us first.

Before you call anyone

A few checks resolve a surprising proportion of connection problems and, when they do not, they tell the carrier where the fault is not:

• Is it one device or everything? One computer offline is a different problem from the whole office.

• Power-cycle the router and modem, waiting a full minute before powering back on.

• Check whether the carrier reports an outage in your area.

• Note when it started and what changed immediately before — a power cut, a new device, an equipment move.

That last point is the most useful thing you can bring to a support call.

Account portals

Each platform and carrier has its own management portal, and the address depends on which services you have. If you do not have your portal link to hand, contact us and we will send it.

NVTGI’s hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Eastern. Outside those hours, your carrier’s support desk is the route for anything urgent — most run 24-hour support, though this varies by provider.

Common questions

Contact your carrier’s support desk directly. They operate the network, and for a live outage their desk is the fastest route to a technician who can fix it. Contact NVTGI at +1-732-289-6268 if the ticket is not moving and needs escalating, or if you are not sure which carrier owns the problem. We escalate through carrier partner channels that individual customers do not have access to.

Contact NVTGI when a carrier ticket has stalled and needs escalating, when you want to change or upgrade a service, when a bill looks wrong, or when a contract is approaching renewal. Those are the situations where holding the carrier relationship makes a difference. For a live fault where a technician needs to examine the line, going straight to the carrier is faster and we would tell you the same thing.

NVTGI's support hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Eastern. Outside those hours, contact your carrier's support desk directly — most carriers operate 24-hour support for live faults, though the specific hours vary by provider. Because live outages go to the carrier first in any case, an out-of-hours fault reaches a technician faster through them than it would through us. We pick up escalations, service changes and upgrades the next business morning.

Escalations are handled during business hours, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Eastern, and we work them as they come in rather than to a published service level. If your service is down outside those hours, your carrier's support desk is the faster route — most run 24-hour support for live faults. We would rather say that plainly than publish a response time we cannot hold to on a busy Monday.

Each platform and carrier has its own management portal, so the address depends on which services you have — GoToConnect, Broadvoice, Dialpad and Vonage each have their own, as do the carriers for internet accounts. If you do not have your portal link to hand, contact NVTGI at +1-732-289-6268 and we will send it to you.

Establish whether the problem affects one device or everything, because that distinction separates a local fault from a connection fault. Power-cycle the router and modem, leaving them off for a full minute before restarting. Check whether the carrier is reporting an outage in your area. Finally, note when the problem started and what changed just before — a power cut, a new device, an equipment move — because that detail frequently identifies the cause faster than any diagnostic.

Service changes come to NVTGI rather than to the carrier — adding users, adding or moving lines, and changing call routing are all part of the ongoing relationship. Contact us at +1-732-289-6268 during business hours, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Eastern, with what you need and we arrange it with the provider. Turnaround depends on the change and the carrier: adding a user to a cloud phone platform is usually quick, while moving a physical line involves the carrier’s own scheduling.

Most carriers publish a service status page, and many will notify registered customers of known outages by app or text. Checking before you call tells you whether the problem is yours or the carrier's, which changes what happens next entirely. The status pages for the carriers we place are listed on this page — Verizon, Optimum, Spectrum, AT&T, GoTo, Dialpad and Broadvoice each publish one. If the carrier is reporting an outage, there is nothing to fix at your end and the restoration time they publish is the best information available.
